Mrs. Rossi's Art 4 class was definitely a challenge but well worth it. Previous to her class i had only taken Art 1 and 3. I was discouraged at first when i saw what the previous art 4 students had done and thought there was no way i could compare to it. I learned more in art 4 than i have learned in any other art class before. I explored new mediums such as oil paints, prisma colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, pen and ink as well as acrylic paints. Art 4 is not an easy A like most people would assume an art class to be, I worked hard and spent time on my art which has made me proud of it. I love everyone I got to take the class with, we all grew close as the year progressed. One of my best experiences of senior year was taking this class and i will for sure miss it after i graduate.
This was my first time using oil pastels for a whole picture. I really like how it turned out. i did a lot of layering but it all came together in the end. The eyes are the pathway to our own universe.
I used prisma colored pencils in this piece. It was a fun piece to do i really like the colors i used i think it ties it all together. I want to go back and add darker green in the earth to add dimension.
This piece was done in prisma colored pencils. It was done fairly quickly, i wish i spent more time on it but overall i like it and the colors i used.
I used watercolor pencil for this piece and sharpie for the numbers. The background is in black acrylic paint. I enjoy using different mediums in my pieces, it allows me to capture the picture i am trying to create.
This piece was done in mostly water color pencils. The words were done in acrylic paint as well as the teeth. It says "words are timeless" tying it into my concentration of time and the universe. I would change some of the color scheme. The background color did not turn out how i wanted it to.
This was done in prisma colored pencils. The one thing i would change about it would be the hand, it is the first time i ever tried to do skin color with colored pencils.
I used some multimedia in this by cutting out lines from a book and gluing them onto the canvas. I used oil paints for the background and pocket watch. I like the color and texture i created in the background but i would change the shape to look more circular.
